Wh— you two again? Get off my legs! -he shook them a bit, but not too harshly-
“Wahh!” They let go a bit too easily and crashed into his desk. It went quiet for a moment, and then, they yelled: “Hiro-nii, you big turd!!”
-worrying that he had hurt the kids, he got out of his chair and bent down to their level- Are you two alright? -at being called a turd, he suddenly ceased all abnormally worried feelings- Hey, watch your mouth!
They sniffled a bit more (purely for effect), and got out from under his desk. They stood outside, facing him now. “Hmph…turd.” They whispered.
“Hiro-nii just doesn’t like us,” they sighed. They did a slow walk towards the door.
-he turned back, watching them leave, sighing a bit, feeling a bit guilty, despite being slightly annoyed as he usually was with kids- I’m not a…turd. You just startled me while I’m working!
They stopped before the door and looked back dramatically. “We’re sorry, Hiro-nii…” They looked down in disappointment.
-he sighed deeply, shaking his head- Yeah, yeah, whatever. It’s alright.
“Uuuu…” They sniffled, still feeling bad about calling him a turd. Therefore, they planted themselves by his door, facing only each other (not Hiroki) and sobbing silent tears.
-another deep sigh escaped his lips, his patience slowly diminishing- Enough of that crying. I’m not angry. Just get over here and calm down already.
They stopped sniffling almost immediately. Wiping their tears on their sleeves, they slowly walked over shakily to Hiroki, expecting him to yell at them. A small “Uuu…” escaped their lips again, but they made no effort to say anything.
-he glanced down at the two, taking a deep breath before standing and pointing a finger at them- Stay there. -he walked over to the living room to the genkan where he kept his briefcase from work and his coat that he normally wore-
